I’m Taryn Hendricks and I provide the structure, compassion and motivation required to help people make positive change in their lives. I believe that physical and emotional health are deeply interconnected; and as a result, that fitness training programs must address both the unique physical history and mindset of each individual to be successful.
I always start my client relationships by taking the time to really LISTEN – not just to gather the facts surrounding your current physical condition and relevant medical history, which is very important – but also to uncover how you have experienced the process of physical development in the past. I want to understand when and why you’ve felt energized and confident, as well as when you’ve become stuck or felt fearful. It allows me to communicate better with clients and build highly personalized approaches that generate real results. In today’s world, anyone can go online and generate a list of exercises to match their fitness goals, but most will fail to accomplish any real or lasting change. I’m here to provide the human touch that keeps you progressing, embracing the challenge of pushing yourself physically and consistently doing the right things in the right order with the right form. Before becoming a personal fitness trainer, I spent 20+ years in nursing, started multiple entrepreneurial businesses and competed nationally as Mrs. Iowa in the Mrs. America pageant. I had the privilege of working with Taryn for three months, and it was truly a transformative experience. During this time, I saw significant improvements in my strength, noticeable increases in the size of my biceps and chest, and lost inches around my thighs, neck, and waist. She introduced me to a whole new world of weightlifting techniques, teaching me the value of free weights through exercises like the military press, bench press, incorporating dumb bells and showing me how to target specific muscles with creative combinations, such as working triceps and biceps together.

Includes in-person 1-on-1 conversation, so we can get to know one another, and I can better understand your current lifestyle and history. We will discuss any pertinent health issues, medications, surgeries or previous injuries. We will establish your specific goals and structure a detailed program designed to sustain consistent progress towards your goals. Once we have completed the initial conversation, we will complete a live 30-minute workout together so that I can assess your current movement and physical capabilities, demonstrate proper form and set the foundation for future workouts.
